This course provides students with an opportunity to better understand past and current global crises such as natural disaster, political violence, or armed conflict in which large segments of the population are at risk. The course will identify major social problems, understand the social forces that bear on those problems, and consider appropriate interventions to aid in their solution. Prerequisites: SK311, SK312, SK313, SK314, SK315, SK321, SK322, SK399 and Year 4 status in the Bachelor of Social Work program.
